Happy 100th Birthday Belle Ribicoff!

In recognition of NSOS lifetime member Belle Ribicoff's 100th Birthday, a Lycaste hybrid was named and registered in her honor.  Fred Clarke of Sunset Valley Orchids, registered the cross Lyc macrobulbon  x Lyc Suave as Lycaste Belle Ribicoff.  Belle was presented with a framed certificate of registration and two plants.

Congratulations to Jeanne McDermott & Tom Mierzejewski - Orchid Digest Diamond Award of Excellence!

The Board of Directors presented Jeanne (founding President) and Tom (founding Treasurer) with the OD Diamond Award of Excellence in recognition of their many years of commitment, service and support to NSOS since the founding of the society in 2008.   

The presentation was made at the NSOS Holiday Party on Dec 8, 2024.    Look for the write-up in the quarterly issue of Orchid Digest in April 2025!
